About the Artist

Born to ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’ inductee father and all-round creative mother, it was a certainty that Andrew’s career would be drawn around the art and creative scene.

Growing up during the 80s in Melbourne’s graffiti hub suburb of Richmond, it wasn’t long before pencil and paper turned to graffiti, where he played a prominent role in the Australian Graffiti scene spanning 30 years to date.

Spending his early years working professionally in graphic design before branching into motion graphics, and later digital strategy, and software invention – he is constantly pushing boundaries driven by his persistence of dedication without the restrictions of being pigeonholed.

Having worked in Canada and London, where he took top honors at BBC’s Young Film Making Talent Awards with his animated short-film, Red, he returned to Melbourne to begin his own design agency, Skribble Studios, producing the majority of design work for Australia’s most renowned Hip Hop artists. During this period Andrew created Australia’s largest online Hip Hop store 2000Volts.com, and later streetwear clothing label Stubrach 128.

He later moved more into the world of digital, starting his second successful agency, 10FOLD working with overseas clients such as Patti Astor, the co-creator of New York’s ‘Fun Gallery’, one of the first galleries to exhibition Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.

Underlying all this, graffiti and canvas painting have remained Andrew’s passion. Painting throughout Milan, Florence, Vancouver, Auckland, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne. He has exhibited works in Melbourne’s National Gallery of Victoria, as well as numerous solo and group shows.

After winning a number of awards in design and digital with both Skribble Studios and 10FOLD, and having works published in various magazines and books worldwide – Andrew has returned to his creative roots, launching House of Frederico in 2018.
